International Coffee Day

Hi there,

My favourite way to start the day is with a cup of coffee (French Press or Latte) and a very healthy breakfast made of steel cut oats with organic peanut butter and a bunch of super foods sprinkled over top.  Usually it's hemp seeds, cocoa nibs, goji berries and some frozen berries.  It took me a few days to get used to this healthy of a breakfast but I'm officially hooked now and I wouldn't have it any other way.  I wish I could say that the rest of my meals are this healthy but they're not.  I'm definitely a work in progress.

In any case, I write this because it's International Coffee Day and I wanted an excuse to show you what I have for breakfast in the morning.  How I start my days has a huge effect on how I do the rest of the time so I try to start off strong.  These days I'm home with my young daughter when I'm not taking music classes, writing or working and I need more energy than I've ever needed before.

I'll be doing a few shows during the remainder of the year.  Join my mailing list or check my EVENTS page for more details.

Happy Fall!  Happy Thanksgiving!  Go Blue Jays!

Happy New Year

Hello Everyone,

Happy New Near to you and yours! I hope you have enjoyed the holidays and are starting to get back into a working groove.

I have so much to be thankful for this past year. I’ve made many new friends through touring the U.S., Canada and parts of Europe. Now, I am just a few short weeks away from giving birth to my first child. It is a wonderful time.

I will be taking a few months off from performing but do expect to hear of some shows in Ontario starting in May 2014. I’ll also be returning to Europe this summer for some shows. I’m looking forward to reconnecting with you live and to letting you know about future recording plans.

I wish you all a wonderful 2014. Below is a pic of my dog Molly who’s been taking good care of me. She’s the best.

Lots of Love,

Hello All

Hi All,

I’m writing to say hello and to let you know that I will be doing my first full-on show since giving birth to my sweet baby girl just over two months ago.

On Thursday, May 1, I’ll be playing with two of my favourite people: the very talented Kirsten Jones and David Newland at Lazy Daisy’s on Gerrard St. East in Toronto. We’ll be playing mostly original songs in-the-round and will be joining each other on some tunes. Lazy Daisy’s is one of my favourite cafes and they serve excellent food, coffee and tea. I love this place.

It’s going to be a great night of music, storytelling, and friendship. Come on out!
