International Coffee Day

Hi there,

My favourite way to start the day is with a cup of coffee (French Press or Latte) and a very healthy breakfast made of steel cut oats with organic peanut butter and a bunch of super foods sprinkled over top.  Usually it's hemp seeds, cocoa nibs, goji berries and some frozen berries.  It took me a few days to get used to this healthy of a breakfast but I'm officially hooked now and I wouldn't have it any other way.  I wish I could say that the rest of my meals are this healthy but they're not.  I'm definitely a work in progress. 

In any case, I write this because it's International Coffee Day and I wanted an excuse to show you what I have for breakfast in the morning.  How I start my days has a huge effect on how I do the rest of the time so I try to start off strong.  These days I'm home with my young daughter when I'm not taking music classes, writing or working and I need more energy than I've ever needed before.
